Navigation buttons Gaeltec has been manufacturing miniature catheter tip pressure transducers and associated medical pressure measurement equipment since 1971. The company designs and produces the thin film resistive strain gauge sensors as well as the housings and catheters at the Dunvegan premises on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

Gaeltec has also developed a range of catheter-mounted electrodes for ECG and EMG measurement and stimulation.

Close involvement with research groups in many fields has led to successful products for both clinical and research applications, e.g.

Gastrointestinal pressure transducers
Oesophageal pressure transducers
Anorectal pressure transducers
Urological pressure transducers
Ambulatory recorders.

Other medical experimental and research applications include sleep and speech studies, breathing studies and progress monitoring in drug trials.

We have developed from these projects a wide range of standard catheter tip pressure transducers and techniques that can be used in different combinations allowing a flexible solution to new problems in the field of pressure measurement.

The solid state sensors are complemented by a range of digital ambulatory recorders and analysis software which run under Windows.

See the Gaeltec NanoLogger™.

Alongside the main products we have developed various cables, interface units and strain gauge amplifiers.
